Travelling to Lachung, a mountain village near the Tibetan border, within the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It is divided by the Lachung River. The village is dwelling to the Nineteenth-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Close by, the Yumthang Valley’s Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley can also be identified for its waterfalls, pine forests and sizzling springs.
