The Sundarbans are the most important littoral mangrove belt on the earth, stretching 80 km (50 mi) into the Bangladeshi and Indian hinterland from the coast. The Sundarbans has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Website. The forests aren’t simply mangrove swamps although, they embrace a few of the final remaining stands of the mighty jungles which as soon as lined the Gangetic plain. The Sundarbans cowl an space of 10,500 sq km, of which about one-third is roofed in water/marsh areas. Since 1966 the Sundarbans have been a wildlife sanctuary, and it’s estimated that there are actually 400 Royal Bengal tigers and about 30,000 noticed deer within the space.
